RadioRemote One Wireless Light System
AlienBees
The RadioRemote One Wireless System
The RadioRemote One Wireless System provides full wireless remote control for your flash units, combining the convenience of remote adjustment and a fully functional radio slave. With the RadioRemote One, you can adjust the flashpower settings and modeling mode of up to 16 lights on 16 different banks (256 lights total!) with a range from 80 to 400 feet, depending on conditions. The transmitter controls flashpower from -0 to -6.2 f-stops in 1/10 or full f-stops, with modeling settings of Full, Off, or Tracking. With convenient glow-in-the-dark keys and back-lit display, the bar graph is easily read, to adjust individual lights. The 900Mhz remote system will reliably fire at long distances, around obstructions, and will remember your last settings with its non-volatile memory.
Exposure meter reading is made easy with the ability to test fire all or individual lights. Exposure bracketing can be adjusted from the remote transmitter, instead of adjusting at the camera position, to maintain depth-of-field. By not allowing over-range or under-range bracketing of a light, proper ratios between the lights are maintained by the system

For best performance with the RadioRemote One System, you will need to look at your camera's rated sync speed to determine which shutter speeds are appropriate. This can usually be found in the operation manual for your camera, and/or on the manufacturer’s website. The sync speed is rated in fractions of a second, and indicates the limit for how fast of a shutter speed you can use, and still have the entire shot lit by your flash. As the shutter speed that you choose gets faster, and you are reaching your camera's maximum rated sync speed, the shutter may only be half open when the flash is emitted. To get the full effect of the flash on each shot, use a shutter speed that is one speed less than your camera's maximum sync speed. For example, if your camera rated sync speed is 1/500 second, do not use a shutter speed that is faster than 1/220 second.
Maximum Camera-Rated Sync Speed / Maximum Shutter Speed To Use
1/500 1/200 or lower 1/300 1/170 or lower 1/250 1/154 or lower 1/200 1/133 or lower 1/125 1/95 or lower 1/100 1/80 or lower 1/60 1/52 or lower
