Easy to use, affordable and compact, the RDC-6000 is much more than just a high resolution digital still camera. It is the World’s first “dual-mode” camera. That means it can also be used as a web-cam to broadcast over the Internet via it’s USB connectivity. Add to that the camera’s ability to capture full length, full motion AVI video files and you have the most versatile camera available today. The camera also lets you take time-lapse photography images at intervals from 30 seconds to three hours as well as convert images into black & whites and sepia tones.

The RDC-6000 digital camera is packed with powerful imaging capabilities that make it perfectly simple for you to create, process, and share professional-looking stills and movies with almost anyone - at home or around the world.

Superior image quality with Resolutions up to 2.1 megapixels
The RDC-6000 incorporates a 2.1-megapixel CCD that delivers superb clarity and color contrast. The Image Enlargement mode employs a Ricoh-developed interpolation algorithm to boost output resolution to as much as 3 megapixels.
High Quality Optics

The lens system optimizes resolution and image quality in a compact design. This F2.8 8.3mm lens is equivalent to a 40mm focal length on regular 35mm cameras. It is made of high-quality optical glass that Ricoh fashioned and finished using proprietary polishing and coating technologies.

Large LCD monitor
The 1.8-inch LCD color monitor has extremely high resolution. You can use it instead of the viewfinder. It's also great for quickly checking shot quality or reviewing results with others
Simple mode dial
The mode dial lets you change shooting modes instantly and without fuss. The ergonomically designed dial features simple icons for quick recognition.

Portable and light
Trim proportions make the RDC-6000 a perfect companion, at 110.0 (W) x 67.0 (H) x 39.5mm (D) (4.3 x 2.6 x 1.6 inch). It weighs just 220g (7.7oz) without battery. Its hardy shell protects against the inevitable bumps and scrapes.
SmartMediaTM card compatibility
Removable SmartMediaTM cards up to 64MB allow for virtually unlimited storage. The cameras included 8MB card allows you to store plenty of high-resolution files.

Three-step digital zoom
You can digitally zoom at 2x, 3x, or 4x to creatively control shot composition.

Still and AVI movie modes Dual-mode for Web camera capabilities
The RDC-6000 records stills in JPEG and movies in AVI to conserve memory without compromising image quality.
Flexible color and white balance settings
The RGB control bars let you adjust colors to your creative taste. You can even convert shots to sepia. White balance calibration delivers pleasing results against even the brightest backgrounds.

Just link the RDC-6000 to your computer's USB port and you can broadcast in real time over the Internet via NetMeeting(for Win 98 only) and CU-SeeMe(for Mac).

Full focusing and exposure control
Twenty-five-point area focusing lets you sharpen subjects anywhere in a scene. Aperture priority auto exposure enhances your ability to simply point and shoot.
