The PENTAX 6 in 1 reader is a drive that accepts various forms of memory cards. In much the same way that a floppy disk drive accepts floppy disks, the 6 in 1 reader is an external drive that accepts SD cards, MMC cards, CompactFlash cards, Microdrive cards, etc. It stays plugged into your computer's USB full-time, allowing you to simply remove your camera's memory card and insert it into the reader.
