Built around JVC s exclusive Progressive 1000 technology, the GR-DVM80 is a slim, compact, and ready to go anywhere Mini DV camcorder in a simpler package. This high-performance camera records stunning high quality digital video. This Digital CyberCam incorporates an array of picture improvement technologies including a 680K-Pixel progressive scan CCD, progressive color filter and high-band processor. These technologies assure ultra-high resolution with up to 520 lines of horizontal and 480 lines of vertical resolution in Progressive mode. The 112,000-pixel 2.5 inch amorphous color LCD allows the camera to be operated from any angle, for maximum comfort. The 200X zoom makes sure you don’t miss any of the action. Just pull out the viewfinder or open the LCD monitor, the camera automatically powers up to so you are ready to shoot. In addition, when you close the monitor or retract the viewfinder, the power automatically shuts to save the battery power. The GR-DVM80 Advanced Snapshot mode utilizes the high performance Progressive Scan 680,000-pixel CCD to capture high-quality digital stills of your favorite scenes. A versatile multimedia interface includes DV In/Out (IEEE1394) for direct PC connection. This allows hi-speed transfer of digital video (moving and still) to a firewire equipped PC. A digital still picture output is provided (RS232C), and both the serial cable and CD ROM software ($180.00 Value) for Windows 95 & 98. Once you have captured your snapshots, download them directly to a printer or a computer for further editing. A firewire ( IEEE 1394) port is located on the camera body. Playback zoom (10X digital pinpoint zoom) lets you move in for a closer look while viewing the tape. A multi-brand remote control allows you to control the CyberCam as well as many brands of video recorders. Random Assemble Editing provides eight-scene memory for favorite scenes as well as the ability to add special effects while editing them to a video recorder.
